I live off nothing in this world

Except the thick grey air that chains itself

Swirls all around and engrains itself
Stifles my last hope into sullen despair
 
I don't associate myself
With all of the people I can do without
Those who never leave mein any doubt
That their selfish narrow lives are all they care about
 
I enjoy the silence in my life
I don't thrive on the chaos that those contact can bring
So many empty getures
That don't mean anything
 
It's so hard and so cold
The texture of this world
Taht nothing in this place is soft enough to hold
 
And nothing like tenderness can ever ba unfurled
I don't want anything in this world
Except a thick gray air
That will keep my heart hoping
And keep my eyes open
Just in case there's something there.

Dia Europeu sem carros

Hoje comemora-se o Dia Europeu sem Carros, integrado na Semana Europeia da Mobilidade. Os principais objectivos do Dia Europeu sem Carros consistem em:

- Sensibilizar as pessoas para optarem pelos Transportes Públicos ou por outro modo de transporte alternativo ao automóvel particular;

- Criar uma oportunidade para experimentar essa mudança e para viver a cidade ou a vila de forma diferente;

- Demonstrar que menos carros nas zonas urbanas é sinónimo de maior qualidade de vida para os seus cidadãos.

O objectivo desta iniciativa é que neste dia não utilize o seu carro:
- Use transportes públicos, bicicleta, patins ou trotinete nas suas deslocações neste dia;
- Espalhe a mensagem;
- Participe com amigos ou familiares nas actividades planeadas pela sua autarquia;
- Redescubra a sua cidade ou vila e desfrute de um ar mais limpo.
O Município de Manteigas tem, neste dia, previstas diversas actividades. 

Cabe a todos verificar a importância deste tipo de iniciativas e participar.
