Microsoft

Corte Federal do Texas reafirma a sentença que condenou a Microsoft por pirataria

"A Microsoft, uma empresa que adora acusar o movimento de software livre e os usuários Linux de desrespeitar patentes, acaba de ter a sua condenação por pirataria reafirmada por uma corte de apelação nos EUA, neste dia 16 de Novembro. A maior ironia no caso é que a empresa de Bill Gates pirateou exactamente o sistema anti-pirataria que ela utiliza no Windows XP e no MS Office. A empresa foi acusada de desrespeitar os direitos de patente da empresa Z4, uma pequena empresa do estado de Michigan. Esta é a terceira maior multa a ser paga pela empresa por acções judiciais que a condenaram por pirataria. Por outro lado, suas alegações de que o Linux estaria desrespeitando seus direitos de patente NUNCA foram objectivamente sequer formulados."
